Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Sanjay Jaju, recently visited the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune and the National Film Archives of India (NFAI–NFDC). During his visit, Shri Jaju engaged with faculty and students, discussing the evolving landscape of film and television education in India. He emphasized the importance of integrating new technologies and innovative practices to keep pace with the global entertainment industry. At the National Film Archives of India, Shri Jaju reviewed ongoing projects aimed at preserving India's rich cinematic heritage. He highlighted the significance of digital archiving in safeguarding rare and historic films for future generations. The Secretary also discussed potential collaborations with international archives, aiming to enhance the preservation and accessibility of Indian cinema on a global platform. In a related event, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Shri Parshottam Rupala, launched the realigned Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) Scheme. Additionally, he released a new radio initiative designed to reach rural communities, promoting awareness and education about animal husbandry practices. These initiatives reflect the government's commitment to leveraging media and communication tools for sectoral advancements.
